Mick Jagger Expresses Desire for The Rolling Stones to Return to Touring
Mick Jagger has expressed his eagerness to return to the stage with The Rolling Stones, confirming that he is keen to get back out on the road as soon as possible. The legendary frontman shared his sentiments during a recent appearance on BBC Radio 2‘s Tracks of My Years.

While fans are undoubtedly excited by the prospect of future live performances, Jagger was quick to manage expectations regarding the immediate timeline. “I’d love to go on tour, I can’t wait,” he stated, before clarifying, “I don’t think it’s going to be this year. But hopefully it’s going to be as soon as possible.”
The band is currently preparing for the release of their 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues, scheduled for July 10. The project has generated significant buzz due to its high-profile guest list, which includes contributions from Paul McCartney, Robert Smith, Steve Winwood, and the late Charlie Watts.
The conversation on Tracks of My Years also touched upon the band’s creative process. Jagger reflected on the recording sessions at Metropolis Studios in West London, noting the intensity and passion brought to the project. “It was a very intense few weeks recording Foreign Tongues,” he explained. “We had 14 great tracks and we went as fast as we could. I like the room there as it’s not too big so you can feel the passion in the room from everyone.”
Although plans for a 2026 UK and European stadium tour were previously scrapped due to Keith Richards being unable to commit at the time, recent hints suggest that the band may be eyeing 2027 for a potential return to live touring. For now, fans can look forward to the upcoming album release as the band continues to shape their next chapter.
