Machine Gun Kelly Lashes Out at Yungblud Over Ticket Pricing

The long-standing friendship between Machine Gun Kelly and Yungblud appears to have reached a breaking point. In a recent social media outburst, Machine Gun Kelly branded the British musician a “silver spooned preachy wanker,” publicly demanding he “shut the fuck up” regarding his recent commentary on the state of live music.

The conflict stems from a video posted by Yungblud, in which he addressed the rising costs of concert tickets, arguing that live music has become increasingly inaccessible for the average fan. This stance has been a central pillar of his recent advocacy, particularly surrounding his own event, BLUDFEST.

In a now-deleted post, Machine Gun Kelly hit back at these claims, writing: “You cancelled a tour because you couldn’t sell tickets blamed it on mental health then got parazzi’d at Nobu the next day Pinocchio.” He further escalated the attack, adding: “And your actual tour tickets are still the same price as every other artist. Shut the fuck up you silver spooned preachy wanker.”

Yungblud has previously been vocal about the industry’s pricing structures. In a 2025 interview with the BBC, he remarked: “This is just dumb. Just stupid. It does not represent real people. I cannot play a festival where it’s like £800 a ticket. How can you stand on stage, and that’s OK?” He maintained that BLUDFEST was created specifically to offer a more affordable alternative, aiming to provide “20 bands for £65.”

While Yungblud has not responded directly to the latest insults, a spokesperson for the artist told TMZ: “Dom has not commented directly as he is so busy focusing on his sold-out North American tour and finishing his next album. He genuinely hasn’t got time to engage in any of this but we wish Machine Gun Kelly the very best.”

The public fallout marks a significant shift for the pair, who were once close collaborators. Their relationship began in 2019 when Yungblud featured on the track ‘I Think I’m Okay’ from the Machine Gun Kelly album Hotel Diablo. The two were frequently seen together, with Machine Gun Kelly even describing their bond as a “free-spirited” union of rock stars, comparing themselves to icons like Elton John and Jimi Hendrix.

Tensions reportedly began to simmer last month following the release of Machine Gun Kelly’s single ‘Fix Ur Face,’ which fans speculated contained veiled digs at Yungblud, particularly regarding his upbringing and private school education. As the situation continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether this once-celebrated musical partnership can be salvaged.
