Iconic Team Ico Soundtracks Arrive on Limited-Edition Vinyl

Soundtracks from three classic Team Ico games – Ico, Shadow Of The Colossus and The Last Guardian – are getting limited-edition vinyl releases. These iconic scores, which helped define the atmosphere of some of the most celebrated titles in gaming history, are now available for collectors and audiophiles alike.

Developed by Sony and released in 2001 for the PlayStation 2, Ico is an action-adventure game directed by Fumito Ueda. The game follows the journey of a young boy named Ico who teams up with Yorda, a mysterious girl with magical abilities, to escape a sprawling, treacherous castle. The title earned critical acclaim for its minimalist storytelling and profound emotional resonance.

The development team later delivered the 2005 masterpiece Shadow Of The Colossus. Serving as a thematic prequel to Ico, the game follows Wander, a young man who enters an isolated, forbidden land to seek the power necessary to revive a girl named Mono. This was followed by the 2016 release The Last Guardian, where players control a boy who forms a deep, collaborative bond with a giant, legendary creature named Trico to navigate the ruins of an ancient civilization.

Fans of the series can now secure these soundtracks through iam8bit. The Ico collection features over 40 tracks from Pentagon and Michiru Oshima, pressed onto Ocean Wave vinyl and adorned with stunning album art by Nimit Malavia.

The Shadow Of The Colossus 2LP collection has been repressed on translucent coloured vinyl, showcasing composer Kow Otani’s sweeping, awe-inspiring score. Meanwhile, The Last Guardian 2LP set highlights the timeless, orchestral compositions of Takeshi Furukawa.

The Ico vinyl is priced at $31.99, while both Shadow Of The Colossus and The Last Guardian are available for $42.99. Pre-orders are live now and will remain open until August 31, with the official release scheduled for Q4 2026.
