Drake Shatters 2026 Streaming Records with Surprise Triple Album

Drake has officially rewritten the record books for 2026 following the surprise release of three new studio albums: Iceman, Habibti, and Maid Of Honour. The Canadian superstar, who had previously only teased a single project, caught fans off guard when all three collections arrived simultaneously this past Friday (May 15).

The rollout for Iceman was particularly elaborate, involving a viral marketing campaign where the rapper hid the release date inside a massive block of ice in Toronto. The 18-track project features high-profile collaborations with Future and 21 Savage. Meanwhile, the 11-song Habibti leans into different sonic textures with appearances from Sexyy Red and PartyNextDoor, and the 14-track Maid Of Honour rounds out the trio with contributions from Central Cee, Popcaan, and Iconic Savvy.

The sheer volume of new music has propelled Drake to become the most-streamed artist in a single day of 2026 on Spotify. Furthermore, Iceman secured the title for the most streams for an album in a single day this year, while the track ‘Make Them Cry’ emerged as the most-streamed song of the year thus far.

These releases mark Drake’s first studio albums since 2023’s For All The Dogs, following his collaborative record with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, released last year. The drop comes amidst a turbulent period for the artist, following his highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar and ongoing legal challenges involving Universal Music Group.

The release has not been without controversy. The White House recently drew significant backlash after sharing a digitally altered version of the Iceman album artwork, which superimposed a ‘MAGA’ chain onto the hand featured on the cover. As the industry continues to digest this massive influx of new material, it is clear that Drake remains a singular force in the streaming era, regardless of the external noise surrounding his career.
