Ziúr announces new album, ‘Home’, shares title track and video: Watch
Ziúr has announced a new album, ‘Home’. You can watch the video for the title track below.
Set for release on 5th September via Berlin imprint Kuboraum Editions, the album features collaborations with Iceboy Violet, Elvin Brandhi, Sara Persico, and James Ó Ceallaigh, fka WIFE. Having previously appeared on labels such as Planet Mu, PAN and Hakuna Kulala, the German producer’s fifth record represents something of a musical departure from past outings, exploring the knotty concept of home through an experimental pop lens.
Deconstructed pop fragments mix with club-adjacent and experimental electronic sounds, reflecting her renowned Boo Hoo club nights, known for their eclectic music policy and line-ups. Thematically, tunes deal with the artist’s often-uncomfortable relationship her German homeland and the idea of belonging.
The announcement of ‘Home’ and the sharing of its title track follows the release of the track ‘No Yawn’ earlier this year.
On 28th August, Ziúr will perform at Berlin Atonal with Sandi.
