World’s largest laser show record broken by hard techno brand Verknipt at 2025 arena event
On Saturday night, hard techno brand Verknipt officially set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s largest laser show.
The 40,000-capacity ArenA was fitted with 1,100 lasers, comfortably surpassing the previous Guinness World Record title, which was set in Dubai with 824 lasers. Last year’s inaugural Verknipt ArenA event, was fitted with 50 lasers.
“We didn’t just break a world record, we’ve written history,” said the Verknipt team. “The energy in the ArenA was indescribable during the special 10-minute Verknipt Experience show: happiness, excitement, but also deep emotion as we closed this final chapter. This wasn’t just a show, it was a shared moment of connection we’ll carry with us forever.”
The record-breaking event took place at the Johan Cruijiff ArenA in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, which included a new 360° stage design, rotating DJ booth, custom-programmed laser rigging, and a 10-minute world record sequence. It also marked the last time the brand would hold an event in that venue.
The night featured sets from Basswell B2B Onlynumbers, Cloudy B2B NOVAH, Cynthia Spiering B2B Paul Elstak, DYEN B2B Fantasm, Nico Moreno, and showcases from the Verknipt ArenA 2025 Album and the Verknipt Experience Show.
