Watch Swedish House Mafia play 'It Gets Better' and 'Lifetime' at the VMAs

News

MTV’s annual VMAs ceremony returned this past weekend, taking place at New York’s Barclays Centre, and among the performers on the night were Swedish House Mafia.

As the Swedish trio continue their comeback, they headed to New York to perform a medley of recent singles, treating the audience to the tracks ‘It Gets Better’ and ‘Lifetime’, with Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake, who joined them on stage.

Performing amid subtle, dimmed lighting, the trio could be seen on stage amongst a hefty amount of smoke, and you can watch it in full now, below.

The performance came as The Weeknd also began to tease a new collaboration with the Swedish trio, posting a pair of clips of new music to his Instagram page, and tagging the group into the posts.

Last month, the trio confirmed they were preparing to release their first new album in nine years, ‘Paradise Again’, which is set to arrive before the end of 2021.
