Wata Igarashi announces new album on Dekmantel, ‘My Supernova’, shares ‘Shockwave’: Listen

Wata Igarashi is releasing a new album on Dekmantel.

Landing on 7th November, the ‘My Supernova’ tracklist features first single, ‘Shockwave’, which you can check out via Bandcamp below.

The album – full of the rich kind of psychedelic techno with which Igarashi has made his name – is described by the Japanese DJ and producer as “a self-portrait of me in 2025”, written in the two years since his move to Amsterdam.

‘My Supernova’ follows Igarashi’s 2023 debut album on Kompakt, ‘Agartha’, which DJ Mag named one of its favourites of the year. Earlier this year, he dropped a collection of club-tuned remixes from that LP. Last December, he contributed to the relaunch of Dekmantel’s UFO label with the ‘Kaleidoscopic’ EP.

Igarashi has also recently collaborated with Polygonia for the first time, and the pair’s four-track ‘Cross Passage’ EP is due to land on 6th October via Reclaim Your City.
