Vinyl Me, Please relaunches following liquidation, offers credit for unfulfilled orders

Record subscription service Vinyl Me, Please has relaunched after going into liquidation in May of this year.

Following the low-key reinstitution of the company, members of the Denver-based record club will once again receive a curated “Record of the Month” recommendation. For the periods in which they did not receive shipments this year, the company will issue membership credits – each credit is redeemable for one free album.

The relaunch comes after months of concerns by subscribers that the company had failed to fulfil existing orders and respond to inquiries about its future amid the liquidation process. The firm was acquired by VNYL Inc., which also owns the record clubs VinylBox and VNYL, in June after being placed up for auction post-liquidation.

When VNYL Inc.’s acquistion of Vinyl Me, Please was announced earlier this year, inbound President Emily Muhoberac said: “Vinyl customers deserve a white glove experience and that’s far from what they’ve gotten recently. We intend to do that by getting back to the fundamentals of VMP with a great customer experience.”

In addition to doubling down on the quality of service and improving subscriber communications, Vinyl Me, Please’s new operator previously said they will now utilise a proprietary technology. Taking in streaming and other record sales data, the system will now identify trends and then tailor which record pressings are ordered, improving efficiency.
