Tomorrowland Voted World’s No. 1 Festival in DJ Mag Top 100
Tomorrowland has been voted The World’s No. 1 Festival in the DJ Mag Top 100 Festivals poll 2026. This prestigious recognition follows a record-breaking voting period that saw more fans than ever before participate in the annual poll between April and June.
There is arguably no event on the planet quite like Tomorrowland, which has now claimed the top spot in the poll for the sixth time. Every summer, the legendary Belgian festival transforms the town of Boom into a global epicenter of electronic music. With colossal stages, cinematic storytelling, and world-class programming, the festival welcomes approximately 400,000 visitors across two weekends, functioning as a fully realized festival city.
A Legacy of Innovation and Resilience
Reflecting on the achievement, founders Michiel and Manu Beers expressed their gratitude, noting that the award is a testament to the dedication of thousands of people who work year-round to bring the festival to life. The 2025 edition was particularly significant, as the team focused heavily on sustainability and technology, introducing RFID smart cups and the ‘Lab of Tomorrow’ innovation hub.
Musically, the festival maintained its high standards with a formidable lineup featuring heavyweights such as Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, ANNA, and many others. The 2025 event also saw the launch of ‘Avicii Forever,’ an immersive installation honoring the late artist’s legacy.
Looking Toward the Future
Despite facing significant challenges in 2025, including a fire that destroyed the Mainstage shortly before opening, the festival’s resilience proved to be a defining moment. Looking ahead to 2026, the founders are preparing for a new chapter, including the introduction of the ‘Consciencia’ Mainstage and a highly anticipated performance by Calvin Harris. As Tomorrowland continues to expand its global footprint, it remains a beacon of unity and creativity for the electronic music community.
