This t-shirt maps locations of iconic Ibiza clubs in history of Balearic Beat
A new t-shirt has gone on sale mapping out the locations of the most iconic clubs in Ibiza’s history as the epicentre of the Balearic Beat scene.
The Discoteca Ibiza tee traces the sound back to the beginning of DJ Alfredo‘s residency at Amnesia circa 1984, through to the closing of Space in 2016. Pikes, Privilege, Pacha, Bora-Bora, Es Paradis, and Cafe Del Mar also feature.
Abstract and minimal in its design, all venues are unnamed and represented by waypoints, but each can be identified by White Isle regulars and veterans via their position in relation to Eivissa Airport – which is also included. For example, DC-10 is easy to spot as it sits at the end of the runway.
The Disocteca Ibiza t-shirt is available to order now, and is the second in the Last Night A T-Shirt Saved My Life range by Dorothy. The first focused on iconic New York disco spaces, such as Studio 54, The Loft, and Gallery.
Based in the UK, the company is arguably best-known for its blueprint collection of artwork, transforming the lineage of acid house, rock & roll, synth music and more into the circuit board of relevant music equipment. For example, the Roland 303, a transistor radio, and the Theremin.
