Andy “Beezer” Beese’s new book, Until Now: Volume I: A Life in Photos 1982-1986, is a time capsule. Among action shots of globally acclaimed names like Louie Vega and Gil Scott-Heron lives a document of Bristol’s thriving music scene of that era, with its carnivals, sound system crews, DJs, graffiti artists, political marches and counterculture movements. Here, Daniel Dylan Wray speaks to Beezer about some key images from the collection to learn about his work, and the energy that fuelled that formative era for UK culture
