The xx announce date for first full show since 2018
The xx have confirmed the date of their first full live show since 2018.
Having previously confirmed an appearance at both weekends of this year’s Coachella festival, and a number of other festival dates through 2026, the band have now taken to social media to tell fans that they will play their “first show back in a while” on Saturday, 4th April, a week before their first appearance at Coachella.
The band also directed fans to “sign up to be the first to know what’s next” – you can do that here. An official announcement with more information on the location of the gig is “coming Monday” (23rd February).
The band are widely expected to release a new album sometime this year, which will mark the follow-up to 2017’s ‘I See You’. They previously shared some rehearsal footage following the announcement of their appearance at Coachella.
In addition to their Coachella shows, the band are also scheduled to perform at Primavera Sound Barcelona and Porto, Rock Werchter, We Love Green and a number of other events this summer.
Last March, the band revealed that they had been in the studio together working on new music.
In November, they released a special deluxe edition of their classic debut album, featuring bonus tracks and covers.
