Terminal V festival to host final Edinburgh edition in 2026, citing rising operational costs
Edinburgh festival Terminal V will host its final edition in the city this April, organisers have confirmed.
Citing rising operational costs, the team behind the techno-focused event said it is no longer possible to continue putting on the festival at its current location. It brings to an end a nine-year run of events in Edinburgh.
Writing on Instagram, Terminal V said: “In recent years, the operational requirements associated with delivering Terminal V at the Royal Highland Centre and in Edinburgh have increased, with policing and associated deployment now representing a significant element of overall delivery costs at the venue.”
The festival team went on to say that while it’s a difficult decision to leave their Edinburgh home, a move to a new site in Scotland in 2027 will allow them to bring punters “even more ambitious electronic music experiences in the years ahead”.
Remaining tickets for the festival’s final Edinburgh edition are set to go on sale on 3rd March.
Terminal V ranked at No. 34 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Festivals poll 2025. Check out the full list here.
