Sudan Archives shares new single and video, ‘DEAD’: Watch

Sudan Archives has released a new standalone single, ‘DEAD’.

Arriving via Stones Throw Records, the track marks the first new material from the US artist since the release more than two years ago of her breakthrough second album ‘Natural Brown Prom Queen’.

The new cut explores “orchestral Black dance music”, a press release said, and was recorded between Los Angeles, Chicago and Detroit. It sees her sound moving in a more dancefloor-oriented direction than before.

‘DEAD’ also arrives with an accompanying music video directed by filmmaker Jonah Haber. You can watch it below.
