SOPHIE ‘PRODUCT’ tenth anniversary vinyl edition announced

SOPHIE’s debut singles collection ‘PRODUCT’ is getting a tenth anniversary special edition. Listen to ‘OOH’ and ‘GET HIGHER’ below.

The late hyperpop innovator’s 2015 compilation will get a re-release on deluxe vinyl and CD packages, out on 11th July via Numbers. (The digital version will be available to stream tonight at midnight.) The original eight-track release will see three new tracklist additions: ‘UNISIL’ from the silicon edition of ‘Product’; ‘GET HIGHER’ off the Japanese edition; and ‘OOH’, which SOPHIE began producing in 2011 and was frequently revised through 2019, when SOPHIE finalised the track.

A self-titled posthumous SOPHIE album was released last September with work from her brother, tour manager and collaborator Benny Long and encouragement from her family and friends. Read Tazmé Pillay’s review of the LP.

This past spring, We Are Moving the Needle charity established The SOPHIE Scholarship Fund to support women, trans and non-binary university students studying audio engineering in the US.
