Sister Midnight community radio station shares 2026 programme, update on new live venue

South London-based co-operative organisation and radio station Sister Midnight has shared its 2026 programme, alongside an update on the development of its community music venue in Lewisham.

Broadcasting every Tuesday through Thursday, the 2026 schedule will feature shows from Tara Lily, Emma Warren, Anja Ngozi, Donut Jam, Maxwell Owin, Tomorrow Warriors, Tara Fatehi, and many more.

The programme, which kicked off this past Tuesday, 20th January, aims to cover “a genre-bending mix of sounds that reflect the breadth and spirit of musical output from Lewisham and beyond”, according to press material.

Alongside the programming update, Sister Midnight confirmed progress on its long-planned physical space, which is set to become Lewisham’s first community-owned live music venue.

Work is currently under way on the project, which will transform the former Brookdale Club building in Catford into a multi-use cultural hub including a live performance space, studios and community facilities, with completion currently targeted for 2026.

While the new space is being renovated, Sister Midnight FM is broadcasting from a temporary studio space in South-East London, which will eventually be integrated into the permanent Lewisham venue.

The development marks a significant step in Sister Midnight’s evolution from a radio platform into a permanent, community-run cultural space, with further details on programming and venue activity expected to be announced in the coming months.

Next month, Sister Midnight will hold a community meeting at Catford House on Wednesday 4th February to gather input from local residents on the development of the space.

“Now that works have started on site to renovate our building, we’re planning to host meetings like this more often so that everyone in our community has a chance to share their ideas for the venue and shape this space with us,” they shared on Instagram.
