The track is taken from the London-based DJ and producer’s forthcoming album, ‘Mali’, which is due to land on 12th March via the Touching Bass label. A launch party has been announced for 14th March at London’s Village Underground.
Manchester based neo-soul vocalist and founder of the acclaimed Lovescene collective, Pops Roberts, also appears on the single, under her Private Joy moniker. Her past work has included releases on Local Action, Rhythm Section, and International Feel.
‘Moonlight’ adds to a growing list of collaborations on Shy Love’s LP, with previous single ‘I Can’t Tell’ featuring George Riley on the mic, while London-based dub poet and dancehall selector James Massiah features on ‘16 Hours’. Electronic music-tech pioneer Steve Spacek is also credited on the record, which spans rap, dub, broken beat, techno and house.
‘Mali’ is available to pre-order here.
Shy One’s last project was 2024’s ‘Gyallis Spiral’ EP, which she released via Numbers.
