Sade Adu shares music video for ‘Young Lion’: Watch

Sade Adu has shared a music video for her recent song ‘Young Lion’.

The song came out earlier this month on Red Hot’s 46-track ‘TRAИƧA’ compilation, which was put together in dedication to trans artists and features contributions from more than 100 musicians including Beverly Glenn-Copeland, André 3000, Sam Smith, Anohni, Jlin, Moor Mother, Moses Sumney and many more. Young Lion’ is dedicated to Sade’s transgender son, Izaak.

The video for ‘Young Lion’ is stitched together from footage taken from Sade’s own archives of herself and her child. Writing about the visual, label Red Hot said: “The images here, so radiant with joy, will hold us forever. They make a universe of a happy home, a happy child, and a self-actualised parent who absorbs fully in healed retrospect the urgent importance of loving one’s child for exactly who they are.”
