Rinse FM to celebrate UK music culture with ‘I Love’ event series, documentaries and compilations

News

Rinse FM is launching a new event series, that will also include documentaries and vinyl compilations, celebrating UK electronic music culture.

The  ‘I Love’ series will focus on various forms of UK music that Rinse has championed over the course of its time on the air, with an event taking place dedicated to each highlighted genre.

The first, I Love: Funky, will focus on UK funky and take place at London’s Ministry Of Sound on 9th October. Future events in 2022 will focus on grime, dubstep, drum & bass, jungle and more.

The I Love: Funky event will feature live performances from Donae’o and Katy B, who will play her first live UK funky performance in over a decade. There will also be DJ sets from the likes of Scratcha DVA, Marcus Nasty, Rinse founder Geeneus and Crazy Cousinz, among many others, with the line-up spreading across four rooms.

A documentary around UK funky, as well as a vinyl compilation, will be released soon, with full details on both yet to be announced.
