Reloop announces new affordable MIDI controller, Keypad Pro

Reloop has launched a new MIDI controller called the Keypad Pro.

The unit features a 25-key velocity-sensitive keybed, 16 RGB pads, eight short-throw faders with solo, rec and mute buttons, a ‘pan’ style knob with two extra smaller ‘send’ knobs per channel, a master fader, and transport controls including Play, Stop, Record and Loop. There’s even a small OLED screen for feedback on what parameters are selected in your DAW, as well as a chord and scale mode to make the most of the smaller key size.

The Keypad Pro comes built-in with Bitwig support, meaning its plug-and-play with the DAW. Bitwig Studio 8-Track is also included when you buy the unit, plus a two-month subscription to Loopcloud Studio and a range of other plugs and tools. However, the unit isn’t tied to Bitwig and can be used with other major DAWs like Ableton Live and Logic Pro.

Round back, the KeyPad Pro features a USB port for power — though it can also be battery-powered and connected wirelessly via Bluetooth MIDI — a sustain pedal input, and MIDI Out provided by a 3.5mm jack. There’s also a two-port USB hub to add more kit to your setup directly into the Keypad Pro.

The KeyPad Pro costs £219 and is available now. Watch the video below for the full set of features and find our more on the Reloop website.
