Premiere: eoin dj ‘On Lilac Skies’

eoin dj is gearing up to release a new EP on Spray’s Punctuality imprint, ‘Ode To Beachball’. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘On Lilac Skies’ below.

On the label’s fourth and final release of the year – landing 4th December – the Galway-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer channels the chart-topping trance euphoria of Nalin & Kane’s ‘Beachball’, originally released in 1997, into three heads-down club thumpers.

Delivered with their signature feather-light touch and introspective sensibility, the project is a masterclass in organic percussion, rippling basslines and subtle melodic motifs, making it a perfect addition to any discerning DJs crate.

Whilst the starry-eyed title track has been a staple in recent mixes from Job Jobse, Sally C and Punctuality label head Spray, our pick of the bunch is the beachy B2 ‘On Lilac Skies’, with its swung bongos, sparkly synths and balearic-infused grooves.

“I wanted to make a bridge track that could fit into lots of different contexts and settings while adhering to the Balearic Trance/ Beach Techno theme of the entire release,” eoin dj shared on the cut.

Find out more about their Joyride residency, narrative-led selections, and what’s coming next in eoin dj’s recent interview for DJ Mag’s Fresh Kicks series.

‘Ode To Beachball’ is out 4th December. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘On Lilac Skies’ below.
