PinkPantheress, The Weeknd, Dave, more take part in online fundraiser for Sudan relief
A new online auction is fundraising for non-profit groups in Sudan.
The Freedom For Sudan auction is running today, 6th January, through the 12th, offering memorabilia, experiences, signed records and more with the likes of PinkPantheress, The Weeknd, SZA, Kelela, Central Cee, Dave and more. The new initiative launched alongside the 70th anniversary of Sudan’s Independence day.
Among the offerings are: a portrait by PinkPantheress; a hangout with SZA; a one-on-one mentoring session with Akinola Davies Jr.; bespoke playlists and signed vinyl by Kelela; custom mixtape by MIKE; VIP tickets to The Weeknd; a “premium” night at Camden’s Jazz Cafe; and more.
“Get closer to your favourite artists and support the people of Sudan in their mission to end the violence and exploitation and rebuild with a civilian government”, Freedom For Sudan’s Instagram post reads. So far, the auction has raised more than £8,600 with 100% of proceeds going to Sudanese non-profits.
PinkPantheress’s ‘Illegal’ is nominated for Best Dance Pop Recording at the upcoming 2026 Grammy Awards.
