Pete Tong to play free All Points East show this weekend
Pete Tong has been announced as the headliner at a free All Points East event at Victoria Park, London, this weekend.
Taking place on Sunday 17th August, the decade-spanning broadcaster and selector will be joined on the day by DJ Yoda — performing a 50 years of hip-hop live AV set — and The Cuban Brothers. Kengo, The Tamshii Drummers and Spotlights Presents complete the music line-up, with theatre, sports and fitness sessions also on the bill.
“Really looking forward to bringing some Ibiza vibes to All Points East this Sunday. It’s a great chance to play these tracks in the heart of London and bring a selection of some of my favourite tunes to a festival crowd. See you there,” Tong said in a statement about the afternoon-into-evening gathering.
The event marks the midway point in the annual All Point East event series, which begins with Cleo Sol, SAULT and Chronixx in Victoria Park tomorrow (15th August). Chase & Status then take to stage the following day (16th August). Meanwhile, the following weekend — which is also a public holiday in the UK — will welcome Barry Can’t Swim (22nd August), RAYE (23rd August) and The Maccabees (24th August) to perform on the East London stage.
Tickets for all events are on sale now.
Earlier this year, Tong was one of the first names to play at a new London club, Gallery. In 2022, the Pete Tong DJ Academy launched its Future Talent Awards, which have since become an annual fixture.
