New queer-led, FLINTA-focused club night launches in London, Club Rua
Queer-led collective Club Rua is launching a new club night in East London this month.
Kicking off on Saturday 27th February at EartH Hackney, the event series is designed as a dedicated space for queer and FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Nonbinary, Trans, and Agender) individuals.
Club Rua, already known for its events across London, will bring its mix of underground electronic sounds and forward-thinking programming to the East London venue.
The line-up for the first night, which will span trance, hardgroove, techno and more, features Club Rua founder Toraigh Watson from Ireland, London-based DJ Reenie, underground techno selector and host of Voices and Sweat Service, Holy C, and trans-late founder and Queen Adelaide resident, DJ-CK.
Announcing the launch, Toraigh said: “We want to create a space where queer and FLINTA artists and audiences feel seen and celebrated and to champion DJs who are already pushing the scene forward and need more opportunities to grow.”

Last year, a coalition of queer nightlife collectives came together to call on the government to take urgent action in support of grassroots LGBTQIA+ venues in London.
