New London venue, The Beams, from Printworks and Tobacco Docks team to open this year

A spacious new East London venue, The Beams, is set to open its doors on 1st October.

Located in the heart of the Docklands, the new 55,000 sq ft venture is a partnership between electronic music promoters LWE and Broadwick Live – the teams behind Printworks and Tobacco Docks – and comprises three rooms, both indoor and outdoor spaces.

The multi-use hub is housed in a former Tate & Lyle warehouse and will also be available for set builds, film and art production, photo shoots, brand events, exhibitions, and fashion shows, with music and cultural events taking place at the weekends.

Broadwick Live and LWE are set to co-promote 12 shows over 12 consecutive Saturdays, starting on October 1st and running through to 17th December. The shows will be announced on 5 the July, with tickets on sale from 7th July.

Back in March, we reported on the arrival of a new open-air venue at Greenwich’s Morden Wharf in London. The 500-capacity space, Morden Wharf Terrace, is located in a historic industrial yard overlooking the Thames and will feature street food from Black Eats LDN – the UK’s first and only Black-owned restaurant directory – as well as DJs, and a Funktion One soundsystem.
