New Berlin club to open in former casino under Alexanderplatz arches

A new club is opening in Berlin.

Located at a former casino in Alexanderplatz, AMT will be found at Dircksenstraße 114, beneath the S-Bahn arches and a late-night convenience store. The 1,000-capacity venue will be split across two floors, and will also include a darkroom and chill-out area.

AMT will be kitted out with a bespoke Kirsch sound system, which has been custom-designed by esteemed sound engineer Willsingh Wilson of Wax Acoustics.

The new club is the project of Robert Havemann, who previously founded the Neukölln bar Velvet. It’s expected to open in early March. Line-ups for the venue are yet to be confirmed.

Keep up with the new club via its website.

News of a new club opening in Berlin is welcome news following the uncertain future of Renate. Having previously confirmed plans to close permanently in 2025, the club has since revealed it will remain open through this year having secured an extension to its license.

Berlin club closures were investigated in a recent documentary.
