Mobb Deep’s Havoc has spoke about ‘Shook Ones, Pt. II’ for a music podcast, Song Exploder.

Song Exploder, a podcast “where musicians take apart their songs, and piece by piece, tell the story of how they were made,” recently hosted Havoc, of legendary hip-hop duo Mobb Deep, to talk about his work alongside his late partner Prodigy on their sophomore LP.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Mobb Deep’s ‘The Infamous’, which was released in 1995, Havoc spoke with podcast host Hrishikesh Hirway about how album track ‘Shook Ones, Pt. II’ came together. Havoc describes in detail the process of layering samples, and hearing Prodigy’s verse for the first time.
