Misingo & DJ Rae ft. Gene Farris – Give You Love

Leed’s Hard Times label carries on with its long tradition of releasing US garage-kissed goodness, with an all-star crew behind this set of house groovers. Soulful vocals, dollops of spoken-word business from Farris, gliding strings and hints of acid define the sweet original, but it’s the quartet of remixes that send the release over the top. Doorly opts for breakbeat acid thump and Soul Clap’s Charles Levine transforms the track into a spirited bump-a-thon — and while both are top-shelf work, it’s DJ Romain’s swingy re-do and DJ Pierre’s joyous mix that take the prize.
