Loyle Carner shares new single, ‘all i need / in my mind’: Listen

Loyle Carner has released a new single featuring two songs, titled ‘all i need’ and ‘in my mind’.

Out via Island EMI, the release of the single follows the recent news that Carner will be headlining the Other Stage on the Friday night of this year’s Glastonbury. He’s also set to make his acting debut in new BBC drama ‘Mint’ later this year.

‘all i need’ blends rap elements with guitars and breakbeat rhythms, with a press release saying it draws on Carner’s recent experience enjoying gigs by bands such as Big Thief and Fontaines D.C.. ‘in my mind’, meanwhile, takes on a more soulful tone and sees him make use of his long-hidden singing voice.

Carner’s last album, ‘Hugo’, was released in 2022. Since then, he released the single ‘Take It Slow’ alongside ENNY in 2023.
