Loxodrome – More Alive EP

Loxodrome is a project where dependable deep house vet Jimpster folds electro, IDM and tech into his work. The results are as layered and immersive as ever, but charged with electricity, pricklier rhythms and flickering cosmic energy. ‘More Alive’ kicks things off with squelched modulations and playful, alien-like textures darting across a taut tech groove. ‘Gobbledygook’ spins into orbit on elastic breaks while ‘Call Me’ drifts through neon-lit atmospheres with a tropical dub shimmer. Closer ‘Rubbery Duck’ takes you deep inside electronic circuitry and soft focus synths finished with some unexpected jazzy keys. It’s machine music with a gooey core and a touch of human romance.
