Knucks shares new single and video, ‘Cut Knuckles’: Watch
Knucks has shared a new single and video. You can watch the clip for ‘Cut Knuckles’ below.
The track is the first to be taken from the UK rapper’s forthcoming album, ‘A Fine African Man’. Knucks, LKY and Director K are behind the video. The latter’s previous music credits include work with Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Rama.
Filmed on location in Lagos, Nigeria, the striking visuals complement lyrical themes of the tension, pride and poetic symbolism of first-generation Britons with African heritage.
“‘Cut Knuckles’ is the song that inspired the overall theme of the album. It’s mostly about reflection, specifically about how I used to cut my hands washing my school clothes in Nigeria,” said Knucks. “It’s also acknowledging how far I’ve come and how, now I have my own place with a washing machine, the cuts and pains I would get are a thing of the past.”
This is the most recent outing to come from Knucks since his landmark 2024 triple-headed effort ‘Can’t Decide 3P’, a collaborative effort with drill pioneer K-Trap.
