KI/KI shares new single, ‘Can’t Stop Loving You’
KI/KI has released a new single called ‘Can’t Stop Loving You’. Listen to it below.
The Dutch trance and techno star said the new track, out now with an extended mix on Bandcamp, was born out of a broken heart. “I’m keeping it real today — I wrote this track while going through a big heartbreak,” KI/KI shared on Instagram. “…Every note, every sound, every vocal helped me through how I was feeling, and listening back now reminds me that eventually things will be okay again.
She continued: “The song evolves from an emotional track to an optimistic 172 BPM banger, and this perfectly describes my process — and maybe the story of almost every heartbreak? This record is living proof to me that music can be healing. I hope it will do the same for you”.
It’s the latest in a run of new singles from KI/KI this year, most recently the ‘Put Your Bassline‘ collaboration with Armin van Buuren. Prior to that, she released a remix of Fatima Yamaha’s classic ‘What’s A Girl To Do’ and ‘Losing Control‘ with Marlon Hoffstadt.
This past October, KI/KI and Armin van Buuren went back-to-back at ADE’s AMF event — relive the set here.
Last year, Claire Francis caught up with KI/KI to talk about her constant career rise since 2018, reinvigorating “forgotten gems”, playing queer parties, “why trance will never die” and more.
