KAVARI announces new EP, ‘PLAGUE MUSIC’, on XL, shares ‘IRON VEINS’: Listen
KAVARI’s debut EP for XL Recordings is called ‘PLAGUE MUSIC’. Watch the video for ‘IRON VEINS’ below.
The Liverpool-born, Glasgow-based artist’s third solo EP will be released by the storied London label on 6th February. It features four new tracks, with the first production including a sample of cult Flash animation classic Salad Fingers from 2004.
The music video for today’s new single, ‘IRON VEINS’ is directed by her longtime collaborator Game Nova and presents a “darker, psychologically twisted” “reimagination” of Alice In Wonderland, according to the press release.
“Thank you to everyone at XL and beyond who helped me finally bring this project into the light of day,” KAVARI wrote on Instagram, “and to David Firth for granting me the privilege to sample my childhood love Salad Fingers on track 1”.
‘PLAGUE MUSIC’ follows KAVARI’s 2025 releases, ‘Lost Cuts Vol.3 (The Trinity)‘, ‘Rumination At The Abattoir‘ and ‘Only Pleasure In Flame‘. She also contributed to the third entry in Loraine James’ collaborative ‘New Year’s Substitution’ series last year. In 2024, she remixed I. JORDAN’s ‘ROUND N ROUND’.
