Joe Delon’s Welt Discos announces compilation featuring Peach, Will Hofbauer, Joe Milli, more
Welt Discos, the label run by Lisbon-based DJ and writer Joe Delon, has a new compilation on the way.
‘In The Pocket: The Sound Of Welt Discos’ is a 21-track DJ mix CD/compilation “evoking the human side of running a label and capturing the expressive, varied and ambiguous sound for which Welt Discos is known and loved”.
The LP – which marks the 10th release in five years of Welt Discos – features tracks from Peach (‘Suzhou Star Chart’), Will Hofbauer (‘In Stone’), Gwenan (‘Chromatic Turn’) Joe Milli (‘Perils Of The Warp’), Dana Kuehr (‘Rare Candy’), Xiaolin (‘808dreamstate’) and many more.
Delon, who launched Welt Discos in 2020 and has put out releases by Velvet Velour, Rafiki, and others in that time, told DJ Mag that the “most important dimension of the project” is the “friendships new and old that I’ve been building with these artists from different countries, scenes, styles”.
He added: “It feels good to connect people in this way and represent that in a mix, which is the part I do as a DJ”.

A launch party for ‘In The Pocket: The Sound Of Welt Discos’ will take place at Lisbon’s Outra Cena on 26th September with Joe Delon, Viewtiful Joe (live) and Xiaolin.
