JME Adds New Verse to PinkPantheress’ ‘Break It Off’ in Surprise Drop
A new version of PinkPantheress’ ‘Break It Off’ featuring JME has surfaced online, marking an unexpected collaboration between the two British artists. The track was quietly uploaded to JME’s Man Better Know YouTube channel on Sunday, August 2nd, showcasing a sharp new verse from the grime MC layered over the song’s iconic Adam F-sampling production.
While there has been no official confirmation regarding a wider release, the track serves as a compelling reimagining of one of the standout moments from PinkPantheress’ 2021 debut mixtape, to hell with it. The surprise drop arrives during a particularly prolific period for both artists.
JME has been active on the live circuit, notably joining Fred again.. on stage at Alexandra Palace during his USB002 residency earlier this year. Meanwhile, PinkPantheress continues to reach new career heights in 2026. She recently made history as the first woman to win the BRITs Producer of the Year award, following the success of her 2025 release, fancy that. Her recent output also includes a collaboration with Four Tet on their ‘Illegal’ remix and a rework of ‘Still Sincere’ alongside MJ Cole.
Beyond her musical endeavors, the artist is set to expand her creative footprint into cinema. Next year, she is scheduled to make her acting debut in an untitled feature film directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, starring alongside a high-profile cast including Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, and Michael Gandolfini.
