Ivy Lab to split after 13 years: “We don’t intend on leaving quietly”

Ivy Lab are winding down the drum & bass project this year.

Gove Kidao, aka Stray, and Jay Fogel, aka Sabre, will close out 13 years of Ivy Lab with a final run of shows and releases before saying goodbye. “We don’t intend on leaving quietly”, the London duo said in a statement on Instagram

“After more than 10 years spreading our wings through a wild and varied array of leftfield beats, we’ve decided to call time on our flagship project and look ahead to new adventures in sound. 2026 will be our last year of operation”.

In their statement, Kidao and Fogel promised upcoming joint, solo and label ventures: “There are final releases to share with the world, and throughout 2026 we will be relishing the chance to play some final Ivy Lab shows in pivotal places that mean so much to our story over the past decade… Solo music is bubbling. Twenty Twenty London is keeping on.”

Ivy Lab was founded in 2013 with Halogenix and has released on labels like Critical Recordings, Sneaker Social Club, Dirtybird, Critical Music and more. Their last LP was 2024’s ‘Infinite Falling Ground Pt 2‘ released on their 20/20 LDN.
