Isabella Lovestory shares new single and video ‘Telenovela’: Watch

Isabella Lovestory has released a video for her latest single, ‘Telenovela’. Check it out below. 

Mixing the percussive funk of classic reggaeton with the melancholic synth sounds of ‘80s new wave, the Honduras-born, Canada-based artist has been building anticipation for the track with a series of telenovela-style shorts on social media.

True to that theme, the video’s director Charlotte Rutherford takes the over-the-top melodrama of Mexican telenovelas and mixes it with unsettling sci-fi and a generous helping of body horror.

The release follows a series of singles from Lovestory stretching back to last summer’s ‘Botoxxx’, ‘VIP’, ‘Puchica’ and ‘Putita Boutique’ , all of which are set to appear on her forthcoming second album, which is due this summer. 

Lovestory recently featured on ‘Besos Robados’, one of the tracks on DJ Python’s ‘I was put on this earth’ EP for XL. She recently collaborated with PinkPantheress and ShyGirl on the single, ‘True Religion’.
