Game Plan – Offset

Something funky is in the Montreal water. The city has long been a hotbed, but 2025 was a banner year. Labels like NAFF could do no wrong and one of the year’s biggest anthems was from 514 heroes Jump Source. 2026 is wasting no time building on that momentum with the newest record from the city’s best-in-class record store, La Rama Records. Game Plan is a collaboration between scene lifers Gene Tellem and Gabriel Rei and it is four cuts of club business. It’s hard to pick favorites, ‘Crazy for Congas’ is a cheeky tribal house throwback with a livewire acid line and ‘Industry’ is peak time dub techno. But if I had to choose, it’d be the title track — it’s a swung piece of tech house funk with fizzling arps dusting the tune like light snow on Mount Royal.
