Fever Ray announces new album, ‘Radical Romantics’

Fever Ray has shared details of their first album in more than five years, ‘Radical Romantics’.

Spanning 10 tracks, Karin Dreijer’s follow-up to 2017’s ‘Plunge’ is said to present”their struggle with love, or to be precise, the myth of love,” according to press materials.

Dreijer worked on ‘Radical Romantics’ from the Stockholm studios that they built together with brother and fellow former The Knife member Olof Dreijer, who had a hand in the production of four tracks on the album. The new album marks the first time that the two have worked together on music since they called time on The Knife eight years ago, and Olof co-produced the album’s lead track ‘What They Call Us’, released last month.

Other artists who have production credits on the album include Príncipe Discos affiliate Nídia, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, producer Johannes Berglund, and Aasthma members Peder Mannerfelt and Pär Grindvik. Vessel also co-produced the album’s latest single, ‘Carbon Dioxide’, for which you can watch a visual below.

Rabid Records will release ‘Radical Romantics’ on 10th March.

In 2019, Fever Ray, The Knife and Björk remixed one another on an EP.
