Eartheater Announces New Album ‘Heavenly Body: If I’m The Bottle You’re The Message’
Eartheater has officially announced her highly anticipated new album, Heavenly Body: If I’m The Bottle You’re The Message. The record is scheduled for release on 14th July via Chemical X, and fans can get their first taste of the project with the lead single, ‘Paradise Rains’.
Musically, the upcoming LP marks a shift toward electronic art-pop, post-wave, and dreamy dance arrangements, prioritizing immediacy and melodic catchiness. Thematically, the album is deeply rooted in symbolism, exploring the profound experiences of pregnancy, the human body as a vessel for life, and the transformative nature of motherhood.
The creative process for the album began just three months after the birth of Eartheater’s daughter, who is now 10 months old. While the work is anchored in her personal journey, it also draws inspiration from the diverse experiences of others, both parents and non-parents alike.
The production features a notable collaboration with David Sitek, known for his work with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jane’s Addiction, and TV On The Radio. Additionally, the closing track, ‘Nova’, features contributions from Nosaj Thing, Michael Andrews, and Oklou.
Reflecting on the lead single, Eartheater shared: “‘Paradise Rains’ is a song about buying back my childhood farm after being estranged from it for 20 years. I conceived my baby the day we first stepped back on the property. So many memories, good and bad, were resuscitated being back, that then dissolved and got washed away by the showers of deep love with my new little family. It is very much born from the throws and blisses of becoming a mother. Some music can wait to come out and it will make sense whenever it does. This music had to come out immediately.”
Following the release of the album—her first since 2023’s Powders—the artist has confirmed a series of upcoming tour dates. These include headline performances in Los Angeles and New York, as well as shows in Paris and Berlin, with a London date at Koko set for 27th August.
