DJ workshops for deaf people to launch in London in 2022

News

A series of DJ workshops for deaf people are planned in Brixton, South London, next month.

The classes have been put together by the group Deaf Rave and Groove School, with support and funding from Arts Council England. Taking place on 10th January, the workshops will be open to complete beginners, and will run from 6pm until 8pm on the day. Deaf Rave says they will be the UK’s very first DJ workshops for deaf people.

Troi ‘DJ Chinaman’ Lee founded Deaf Rave in 2003 as the first and only events organisation dedicated to providing the deaf and hard-of-hearing community with a platform to display and develop their love of music.

To sign up for the workshops, or find more information, message Deaf Rave on Instagram.
