DJ Mag to host KI/KI, Marlon Hoffstadt, Charisse C, more at ADE 2024 conference

DJ Mag is set to host KI/KI, Marlon Hoffstadt, Charisse C, BIIANCO, Azyr, Hospital Records’ Matt Lally and more at Amsterdam Dance Event’s 2024 conference, which runs from today (Wednesday 16th October) through to Sunday 20th.

On Thursday (17th October), KI/KI will join our deputy editor, Ben Hindle, in conversation, to discuss how she keeps a balance between main stages and more intimate venues and underground community events. The event follows KI/KI’s appearance on the cover of DJ Mag’s October edition. The session will run from 14:45-15:30 at the Zuilenzaal at the Felix Meritis.

On Thursday, DJ Mag will also host a Deep Dive with Marlon Hoffstadt, aka DJ Daddy Trance, from 16:00-16:45 at the Zuilenzaal at the Felix Meritis, to explore his boundary-pushing approach that blends techno, trance and eurodance.

DJ Mag’s tech editor, Mick Wilson, will also host a How I Play Live session at ADE’s (Sound) Lab with BIIANCO. Running from 17:15-18:15 at the Boom Box at De Brakke Grond, the session will explore the hybrid live setup of the London-based, LA-trained producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist known for their innovative approach to music production.

Finally, on Saturday (19th), DJ Mag will host a round table session titled ‘How social media is changing the sound of electronic music’. Moderated by DJ Mag’s deputy editor, Ben Hindle, it will also feature Charisse C, Azyr, and Hospital Records’ Matt Lally, and takes place from 13:45-14:45 at Teekenzaal 1 at the Felix Meritis.

More will be announced before the weekend. Earlier this week, we announced that DJ Mag Presents will be throwing an ADE party at the city’s legendary Skatecafé venue. Taking place on Friday 18th October from 4pm to 9:30pm, our very special guest headliner will be announced when tickets go on sale at 10 AM CET on Thursday 17th. Support will come from local Club Raum resident Mary Lake and others.

Before that, DJ Mag will partner with A|X Armani Exchange to program the line-up for the brand’s annual ADE free in-store event. On the first day of the annual industry conference (Wednesday, 16th October), the A|X Amsterdam store will be transformed into a club with sets from Call SuperLUXE and SUCHI. Entry to the event is free, although capacity is limited so make sure to get down early.
