DJ Lag shares new single, ‘Woza’: Listen

DJ Lag’s latest single is called ‘Woza’ and features vocalists Sykes and Sir Trill. Listen to it below.

‘Woza’ is the South African star producer’s follow up to his 2024 LP ‘The Rebellion‘, which featured a ‘Re-Up’ version of ‘Hade Boss‘. Between his own releases, he’s featured on singles by Tonton Lusambo & DJ ANNUNAKI, Moonshine and House of ESAMA & Lanokies, and remixed Moonchild Sanelly. The new single blends DJ Lag’s signature gqom sound with the emerging 3-step style. 

“I started making the beat for ‘Woza’ while playing b2b sets with Thakzin”, DJ Lag said in a press statement. “I wanted to capture my take on 3-Step while channeling Afro-Tech influences I’ve been spinning during live sets. When Sir Trill and Sykes added their magic, I knew I had something that merged my Gqom roots with a new sonic direction, it just felt right.”
