Chase & Status and Stormzy share single, ‘Backbone’: Listen

Chase & Status have teamed up with Stormzy on a new single, ‘Backbone’.

The track, which marks the first time the two acts have collaborated on record, has been garnering a sizeable amount of buzz recently since it was debuted live at Coachella in April. Stormzy also made a surprise appearance at Chase & Status’ Ushuaïa Ibiza show in June to perform the track.

“We are so gassed to work with the legend that is Stormzy,” Chase & Status said in a statement. “We’ve always wanted to bring his energy into our world and are so excited for the fans to hear this collaboration.”

Earlier this year, Chase & Status became official sponsors of London-based grassroots football club Hammersmith FC.

Last year, they collaborated with Bou on the single ‘Baddadan’, which took the Best Track gong at DJ Mag’s Best Of British Awards.
