Carl Cox and Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell have linked up on a new single. You can listen to ‘Joya’ below.
Landing via Cox’s own label, Awesome Soundwave, the record unites two heavyweight’s from opposite sides of the music spectrum for an uplifting peak-time roller. Farrell, the visionary behind Jane’s Addiction, Porno for Pyros and Lollapalooza festival, brings his unmistakable vocals and storytelling to this project.
Speaking about the single, Cox said, “When the opportunity came to work with Perry, I jumped at it and sent him the idea for ‘Joya’! It just came together so beautifully and I have been proud to play it as the closer for all of my sets in the last year. People respond to it with such joy, and that is what I was aiming for all along.”
