Berlin club Renate will remain open in 2026
Berlin club Renate has confirmed it will stay open in 2026.
Back in 2024, the Friedrichshain venue announced it would close permanently in 2025 when its current lease came to an end. However, the club shared a statement on Instagram yesterday (18th December) confirming it has secured a lease extension into next year.
Renate will still host its 86-hour NYE party on 31st December before shutting its doors temporarily at the start of 2026 to “reset, regroup and carefully plan our next steps”.
“Details beyond the fact that Renate will continue in 2026 are still in development,“ said Renate owner and CEO, Robert Kreissel. ”We need to essentially restart the club, rebuild the team, reorganise organisational processes, start new bookings and plan for a future that has come as a welcomed surprise.”
“We have a massive job ahead of us,“ he added. ”So there will be a break after New Year’s Eve where the club will remain temporarily closed, but we look forward to keeping everyone informed on what comes next as soon as that information is available.”

Renate, which opened as Salon Zur Wilden Renate in 2007, was impacted by a fire earlier this year. The garden entrance, including a ticket booth, fence, tree and photo booth, was destroyed in the blaze; however, the main building was unaffected, and there were no events running at the time.
