Ben Hemsley shares new EP, ‘Angel’, on his Bebé label: Listen

Ben Hemsley is set to release a new two-tracker, ‘Angel’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Angel’ below.

Returning to his Bebé Recordings imprint for the first time since 2023 single ‘Benirrás’, the UK titan delivers a double helping of radiant vocal-led trance. Out this Friday (6th June), the EP follows Hemsley’s recent collaborative single with Armin Van Buuren, ‘Is It Beautiful’, which was named the official anthem for A State of Trance 2025 in Rotterdam.

Crafted around a sample from Mackenzie & Jessy’s 1999 trance anthem, ‘Angel’, the lead single has taken shape over the past year. Hemsley eventually tested the track in his car on the way to a show, where he ended up spinning it the same night, and the crowd response told the producer everything he needed to know.

“Feel like av been playing this one for ages. It’s one of those vocals which just gets stuck in ya head..,” Hemsley explained to DJ Mag. “The original by The Mackenzie & Jessy is a proper bouncy tune, a just knew the vocal would sound class over something a bit more emotional and trance(y).  I remember finishing the tune in the car on the way to a show in the Netherlands last year and gave it its first test on the club speakers that night, it went off. Well happy that we’ve finally got this one out.”

‘Angel’ lands tomorrow (6th June) via Bebé. Pre-save the two-tracker here, and have an exclusive first listen to the title track below.
