Beatport LINK and Beatsource streaming have been added to Algoriddim's djay app

News

Beatport LINK has been added to Algoriddim’s super popular DJing software djay. LINK is Beatport’s solution to streaming for DJs, allowing users to stream their entire catalogue straight into compatible DJing software and hardware, via a subscription model.

The latest version of djay is a free update, and anyone who’s got a LINK subscription can access the Beatport Top 100, genres charts and more via djay’s playlist section. Djay recently announced it would be losing Spotify compatibility from its software, so LINK slots in to replace the streaming giant. Djay already supports both SoundCloud and TiDAL so is now one of the most versatile software available for DJs who don’t own their own record collection or want access to millions of cross-genre music.

Djay has also added Beatsource LINK, Beatport’s open format DJ solution acquired from DJcity last year.

Between all their streaming platforms and the accessibility of djay on both Mac and iOS, it’s hard to argue that it’s not one of the best-positioned starting points for new DJs. Djay also syncs your cue and loop points across multiple platforms so you can edit on your phone and perform on your laptop, for example. Alogiriddim djay with Beatport LINK is available now. Read more about the potential implications of LINK in our DJing and the Data Wars piece.
