Barry Can’t Swim announces new album on Ninja Tune, shares single: Listen

Barry Can’t Swim has shared details of his second album, ‘Loner’. You can listen to a new single from it below, titled ‘Different’.

Set for release on Ninja Tune on Friday 11th July, the 12-track record is said to be informed by the Scottish artist’s dizzying rise in recent years, as he attempts to stay grounded amid ongoing critical and commercial accolades. O’Flynn and Séamus are listed as featured artists, while one cut samples Kali Uchis.

‘Loner’ follows Barry Can’t Swim’s 2023 debut LP, ‘When Will We Land?’, which earned him nominations for the Mercury Music Prize, Scottish Album Of The Year and a BRIT award.

Earlier this week, he unveiled the first taste of the new record, on a track called ‘The Person You’d Like To Be’.
